Setting off out of Port Macquarie, this day trip offers varying degrees of difficulty as we explore this region and climb through the hills to 388m above sea level.

· Towering Bloodwood giants in the land before time
· Forgotten manmade structures slowly being reclaimed by the forest
· Creek crossings and a 266m low range ascent to the top of the bluff.

Beechwood and Beyond

Recovering from the Black Summer fires, this region is springing back to life.

Setting off out the back of Wauchope, we travel through the sleepy villages of Beechwood and Bellangry before hitting the dirt. Travelling predominantly on forestry roads, this is not an extreme trek but a discovery tour of the region.

Meandering through state forests and into Weerikmbe World Heritage listed National Park the highlights of this tour are:
· Panoramic views from a disused fire tower clearing
· Optional waterfall and rainforest walk at morning tea and lunch
destinations
· Traverse through historical and cultural lesser-known regions of the Mid North Coast

This region is truly one of the Mid North Coast's hidden gems:
· Scenic views to the ocean and out over the hinterland back towards the
Great Divide
· A short stroll to ancient blackbutt trees - maybe spot a koala or two
· Walk through incredible rainforests and creek beds to discover over hung caves and an array of bird life.
· This tour is not all about being pinned to the seat all day and will require moderate fitness to appreciate the walks.
