Recovering from the Black Summer fires, this region is springing back to life.

Setting off out the back of Wauchope, we travel through the sleepy villages of Beechwood and Bellangry before hitting the dirt. Travelling predominantly on forestry roads, this is not an extreme trek but a discovery tour of the region.

Meandering through state forests and into Werrikmbe World Heritage listed National Park the highlights of this tour are:

  • Panoramic views from a disused fire tower clearing

  • Optional waterfall and rainforest walk at morning tea and lunch destinations

  • Traverse through historical and cultural lesser-known regions of the Mid North Coast

Lakes to Caves tour offers panoramic views and a mixture of 4x4 tracks, as you explore your way through the remnants of early settlement in the Mid North Coast to the volcanic outcrops of Coorabakh National Park.

This region is truly one of the Mid North Coast's hidden gems:

  • Scenic views to the ocean and out over the hinterland back towards the Great Divide

  • A short stroll to ancient blackbutt trees - maybe spot a koala or two

  • Walk through incredible rainforests and creek beds to discover over hung caves and an array of bird life.

  • This tour is not all about being pinned to the seat all day and will require moderate fitness to appreciate the walks.
